Division (CID)
The Tarpon Springs Police Department Criminal Investigations Division (CID) serves as the primary investigative arm of the agency, responsible for conducting thorough and professional investigations into a wide range of criminal offenses. These include property crimes, economic crimes, crimes against persons, computer crimes, sex crimes, narcotics investigations, homicides, fire and arson, and other major cases.

Detectives assigned to CID possess advanced, specialized training across multiple investigative disciplines and bring extensive experience to complex and often sensitive cases. Their work frequently extends beyond the boundaries of the City of Tarpon Springs, requiring close coordination and collaboration with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to ensure those responsible are identified and held accountable.

Members of the division are committed to pursuing every lead, often conducting exhaustive and detailed investigations. CID personnel are available for call-outs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, ensuring a rapid and effective response to serious incidents. Through professionalism, persistence, and strong partnerships, the Criminal Investigations Division plays a vital role in delivering justice and enhancing public safety.
