Security Surveys

The Crime Prevention Office offers this service to any resident or business at No Cost, by an Officer that is certified as a Florida Crime Prevention Practitioner.

If you are interested in a security survey for your home or business, contact the Crime Prevention Office at (727) 937-8753, or by email at tspdcrimeprev@tspd.us 

 Residential

The goal of a residential security survey of your home is intended to, “Target Harden” your home, and help guard against burglary, theft and vandalism, and increase your personal safety.

The survey usually includes recommendations and suggestions

A residential Security Survey includes:

  • Windows & Doors
  • Locks
  • Exterior lighting
  • Landscaping
  • Alarm systems
  • Property Inventory
  • Encourage participation in neighborhood Crime Watch
Business

The goal of a business security survey is make suggestions and recommendations to increase the security of your business, and the safety of your customers and employees.

A business security survey includes:

  • Premises security
    • Locks, Doors, and Windows
  • Alarm systems
  • Access control, (key security)
  • Cash handling techniques
  • Exterior and interior lighting
