Business Watch Program
What is Business Watch?


Business Watch is a program that is a cooperative effort between participating businesses and the Police Department. We encourage the active participation of merchants and businessmen to reduce and prevent crime in the business districts. Participation in the Business Watch program is voluntary, and there are no costs to businesses.

The Crime Prevention office will provide training and information in a variety of topics directly affecting businesses.
 
Benefits of Business Watch
  • Business Watch promotes communication and understanding between the Police Department and the business community. Businesses are encouraged
  • Encourages cooperation between neighboring businesses.
  • Businesses learn how to better safeguard their customers, employees, and merchandise.
  • Businesses learn how to make their property more burglar and theft resistant.
  • Receive crime alerts from the Police Department by Reverse 911, E mail, or fax.
