Crime Prevention is the anticipation, the recognition, and appraisal of a crime risk, and the initiation of action to remove or reduce it.

The objective of the Crime Prevention Office is the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of crime prevention efforts of the Police Department.  These efforts are pro-active, and aimed at preventing the residents from becoming a crime victim by anticipating, recognizing and assessing the crime risk opportunity and initiating appropriate action to eliminate or reduce the opportunity for crime to occur.


The Crime Prevention Office offers a variety of programs and services in order to accomplish our objectives which are listed below.
