Watering Restrictions / Violation Information

Watering Violations
On August 25, 2009, the Southwest Florida Water Management District reduced the watering restrictions to the previously established Modified Phase III Extreme Water Shortage.  This condition continues to restrict lawn watering to one-day-per-week. The City of Tarpon Springs and our residents are required to comply with this declaration.

Your watering day is based upon the last number of your address as follows:

If your address ends in...
  • 0 or 1, water only on Monday
  • 2 or 3, water only on Tuesday
  • 4 or 5, water only on Wednesday
  • 6 or 7, water only on Thursday
  • 8 or 9, water only on Friday

  •     Properties less than two acres in size may only water before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
  •     Properties two acres or larger or using reclaimed water may only water before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m.
These restrictions apply to commercial establishments as well as residential properties.

Other restrictions are in effect for users of reclaimed water. For a complete list of restrictions, please go to the City of Tarpon Springs website.

When in doubt, please call the appropriate department for information.
